Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

A little late, but we finally got a White Christmas. The first time since I can remember. My father told me the last time it was close was when there was a blizzard in 1993. Considering I was only 3 years old, I do not remember it. I will ALWAYS remember my 1st White Christmas that I spent with my family!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year! It it is the time where people are the happiest and everyone is smiling. Christmas for me means spending time with family. Although the presents are fun, family is the most important part of Christmas. For me, I feel that I have the greatest family ever. Although we have our struggles, no matter what, we are always there for each other!

When I think of the word Christmas, many thoughts come into my head. I think about traditions. My family has done the same thing for many years and I would not have done it any other way. Christmas Eve we always do Christmas with my mother's side. We go to my grandparents house, open presents, then go look at Christmas lights. After we look at Christmas lights, we take my grandparents back then go home. My sister and I finish up last minute wrapping and my parents finish wrapping stuff as well. My sister and I lay out Cookies(White Fudge Oreos), Christmas Tree Cakes, Cheese (When you leave Santa cheese, you get the good presents!) We also leave out 7 Up, Eggnog, and a sweet letter to Santa! We also set the table for Christmas Morning Breakfast! After setting that out, my sister and I each open one present and then go to sleep so that Santa will come!

Christmas Morning-We wake up and open all of our presents from Santa and then watch my parents open theirs! About the time they finish opening their presents my Nanny, Papa, and Uncle all come out to enjoy the best breakfast ever: BREAKFAST CASSEROLE! We then show our presents to my Grandparents and then EVERYONE takes naps.
Christmas Afternoon-We cook and wrap more presents to prepare for Christmas with my Father's side of the family.

I have always had respect for my family, this Christmas I realized how lucky I am to have the family that I have and became so much more appreciative of them!
